The Porsche 356 A Cabriolet will be the star of the OldCar24 stand at Milan Autoclassica 2025.
This 356 A 1600 Cabriolet, with its gloss black livery, is supremely elegant.
The Porsche 356 officially debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 1949, created by Ferdinand "Ferry" Porsche as a luxury sports car and the Stuttgart-based manufacturer's first production automobile.
The first 356s were built between 1948 and 1950, and this number gave the model its name.
In 1956, the 356 was replaced by the 356 A, launched with five engines: the 1300 with 44 hp, the 1300 Super with 60 hp, and the 1600 with 60 hp.
In 1957, the new T2 series featured modifications to the lights and instrumentation.
The engine was developed for racing: it was a completely new and highly sophisticated 1.5-liter with four overhead camshafts, which powered the 356 RS to victory in the Carrera Panamerica in 1954. It was introduced to the range in 1956 on a road-going model called the 1500 GS (Grand Sport) Carrera, which delivered 112 hp and was also available as a convertible.
The 356 A had a curved, one-piece panoramic windshield and integrated teardrop-shaped rear lights.
Production of this model lasted until 1965.
This car was eligible for the Targa Florio, the Monte Carlo Historique Rally, the Pebble Beach Concours, the Concours d'Elegance Villa d'Este, the Winter Marathon, and other international events.
Now let's look at the interior: an elegant red leather interior provides a classic contrast to the glossy black exterior.
The aerodynamic profile of the long bonnet, the unmistakable style of Ferdinand Porsche!
