It was the favorite of successful personalities and movie stars, such as Clark Gabel, Elizabeth Taylor, Tyrone Power, Ingrid Bergman—in short, the entire Hollywood jet set. In more recent years, Elton John loved it so much that he owned more than twenty examples, with liveries in various colors, matching the outfits worn by the famous British composer and singer.
It was available in two open versions, the two-seater OTS roadster and the convertible. This Jaguar also enjoyed great success in racing.
