This sports car is still extraordinarily relevant, like all beautiful and timeless things. Developed in the technical part by Gianni Lancia, Carlo, Virgilio and Vittorio Jano, in the bodywork it is in line with the aesthetics of the 50s/60s, which, after the dark years of the war, contrasts with the austere and harsh pre-war forms fluid and curvilinear shapes, over which the gaze flows without impediments. It is the aesthetics of lightness, of elegance in the simplification of models, as Gio Ponti implemented at the same time in architectural structures and furnishings.
Those who were able to admire it at the Turin and Geneva Motor Shows in 1955 immediately appreciated its uninterrupted wavy profile, from the front to the fenders, to the "tail" softened by the discreet presence of two "fins" (in the American fashion of that era). . The sides are smooth and clean for the doors with no visible handles.
The windscreen of the B24 is panoramic and enveloping, profiled in chromed brass.
A curvilinear elegance also characterizes the dashboard, as does the padded interior. The folding canvas top disappears behind the seats.

Protagonist in the 1962 film "Il sorpasso", an Italian comedy of pink neorealism, with Vittorio Gassman and Jean Louis Trintignant, the Aurelia B24 has become very famous and an object of desire for the most demanding collectors.

The Aurelia B24 was and still is one of the sports cars most loved by Italians and much appreciated abroad especially in the 1956 convertible version. 
The protagonist of our report comes from a private collection, and is a B24 S convertible version, produced in very few examples, a rarity. Ready to become part of a new collection.
