The Alfa Romeo 1900 SSZ was the protagonist of many competitions in the 1950s, often driven by Consalvo Sanesi, a famous driver for the Portello company at the time, and was Ugo Zagato's favourite car.
Last but not least, the Alfa Romeo 1900 was a source of pride: the famous 'Pantera' used by the Italian State Police's 'Squadra Mobile Squad' were all Alfa Romeo 1900s, black and obviously modified in their bodywork.
