It was a legendary car, designed by the great Marcello Gandini. When the doors are open, this car looks like a huge, almost science-fiction-like metal insect; in fact, the hinged doors at the front rise upwards like the elytra of a beetle, allowing you to enter and exit the passenger compartment even in a confined space.
The ingenious body construction of the first Countach was made of trapezoidal aluminium panels and mounted on a frame of round steel tubes. It contained the V12 engine with its powerful roar and exceptional performance. This dream car, a masterpiece of the 1970s, was based on a concept of modernity that broke all the moulds of luxury sports cars and projected itself into the future.

Gandini's futuristic project was taken up and upgraded in 2021 with the Countach II, a hybrid car with 800 bhp that is already set to become an icon of the third millennium.
The design is based on the unmistakable silhouette of the first model, with a more insistent geometric form. The characteristic profile has also been accentuated and is a pure line, an arc stretching from the flat front to the tail of the body. Form-function-style: a perfect orchestration.
