After his early death, in 2001, the car went to auction at Sotheby’s in New York in 2017, winning € 279,500. Solid as all German cars, beauriful for the visual compactness of its shape, the Z8 was designed by Hans Rathgehber, and presented at the Los Angeles Motor Show.

It was produced from 2000 to 2003, in the roadster version,for a total of 5,703 specimens. The uncovered two - seater car was convertible,on request, into a coupe thanks to the hard top.
