“Wizard of the briar” was called Virginio Brambilla - the father of Rossano - experienced cabinetmaker and master of luxury; in 1960 he founded the Oggiono company, specialized in the processing of this precious natural material, between tradition and innovation.
Very appreciated by the big car manufacturers, Virginio Brambilla collaborated with the most prestigious Italian and foreign brands.
The real briar derives from rare and precious essences, which present highly refined decorative effects: elm, walnut, madrone, mahogany, makassar ebony briar, etc.
Its treatment is not just a craft job, but a real form of art. Handcrafting is the best way to obtain high quality results. In the Brambilla Workshop the master cabinet makers create special made-to-measure and personalized arrangements to maintain high-level quality standards. Especially for the restoration of vintage cars, which requires precious and original materials.

The briar, an ancient and noble material, which often comes from trees that are 80 or 100 years old, is worked into thin sheets suitable for covering the most disparate objects, giving them elegance and charm.
Careful real briar coverings make each element of both cars and nautical vehicles unique - dashboard, steering wheel, knobs, and other furnishings - making the vehicle unique and unmistakable.
In the 1990s, Rossano Brambilla took over his father's business and exported it beyond national borders, first to Europe and then to the rest of the world.

In addition to the handcrafting of natural briar, the artisan workshop " Virginio Brambilla” is dedicated to the application of real carbon fibre, with great mechanical resistance, with which it is possible to cover the interiors of luxury cars, helicopters, planes, boats and design objects.
Even mother-of-pearl, a sophisticated creation of nature, is treated by artisans - artists, for every decorative need of the clientele.
